Wait, we dont talk about Y!M but Pidgin. Therefore you have to download and install it at http://www.pidgin.im if you havent it yet.
I prefer using Pidgin than Y!M couse of things :
– No Ads
– Multiple Accounts (Yahoo!, Gmail, MSN, IRC, etc)
– Lite
Ok, next step is configuring Pidgin to send autoreply just when you are in AWAY stat.
There are things you have to prepare :
– AutoReply.dll
– Of course Pidgin itself :p
After downloading .dll file, extract to ~Pidgin/plugins folder on your machine.
Restart your Pidgin.
Configure it from Tools – Plugins (ctrl+u), choose Autoreply.
There you go!

Shabby, It didn’t work for me either, until I went to look at the file, instead of it being autoreply.dll, it was autoreplydll…. just put the period infront of dll, restart pidgin and it should show up in your plugins
